Arty the bear

Chopard
The brief

In collaboration with Chopard and Mazarine, we created Arty, a teddy bear used as the main character of a unique Christmas world. For 4 years, we developed Arty's universe, a storyline full of adventures and supporting characters.

Other films produced for the brand's 2019-2021 Christmas campaigns. As our relationship with the brand grew stronger every year, this enabled us to flesh out our initial concept, adding depth to the story, details to the lead character, the teddy bear and new playmates.

Work on arty & friends

Preliminary lead character behaviour sketches

Seduced by François Pompon's elegant designs, we reinterpreted the film's characters as sculptures which mimicking the artist's soft artistic style. The timeless nature of these sculptures also offered an interesting parallel to Chopard jewellery.

The first film focused on a polar teddy bear, Arty. The following seasons allowed us to develop new characters, and their relationship with Arty, in a magical world. As the story developed and through shared adventures, friendship grew stronger between these endearing animals.

Work on jewelry

Over the 4 years developing the Arty & Friends series, we worked on over 40 unique jewellery pieces and watches.
Meticulously 3D modelled, textured and rigged for custom work done in-house.

3D modelling work, texture and shading of the L.U.C Tourbillon watch. This watch has its clockwork visible, a technical challenge for us to reproduce with great detail.

campaign

The films were first developed for a digital Christmas campaign, then adapted for international outdoor screens. They are also used for window displays and posters.

Concept adapted to outdoor ads in New-York for bus shelters, taxi tops, as well as a Harrods shop window integrating a vertical version of the film.
